Hand Anatomy

Digital line illustration using Adobe Photoshop. Research done studying cadaveric dissections for better accuracy.

CT Reconstruction

InVesalius was used to create a 3D model using data from computed tomography (CT). The project was then converted to Zbrush, where realistic features and anatomical components were sculpted. After sculpting the fundamental anatomy, it was exported to Keyshot. To offer a greater understanding, the finishing touches and realistic characteristics were applied. 

Surgical Instrument

Using Adobe Illustrator, the surgical instrument chosen to illustrate was a post mortem adjustable double bladed spine saw. All files were illustrated as svgs., mockups were later created using Adobe Photoshop.

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)

This turntable animation was made using Adobe After Effects to provide information regarding PKD. The organs seen were created in Zbrush and later exported to Keyshot.

Foot Morphology

Each foot bone was scanned using a Artec 3D Spider Scanner and later edited in Atec Professional Studios and ZBrush. Artwork depicting each animal was made in Procreate.

Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator Reconstruction Surgery

+ Left Mastectomy and Right Mastopexy

Thank you to Ninewells Teaching Hospital and the Plastic Surgery Department for the opportunity to observe this surgery. This leaflet was created to help patients and their families understand the operation in a less daunting way. The artwork was done in watercolour to show the procedure in a less gruesome way.  The colour palette helped to create a more pleasant and comforting aesthetic. Adobe Photoshop was used to create the layout.
